I use alot of AEB (for HDR ) but have to acess it thru the menu (unlike the simple button on a NIkon)
i have read the 7D manuel and with all the nice setting it has i could not see how to Assign AEB to one of the buttons ??
If it can be done - i will be tempted to buy it (well i am tempted anyways)

Just checked, and nop, you can't. But you can put the AEB in "My Menu" and set that when you press the menu button you will directly be in "My Menu" wherever you quitted the menu (like red, blue, yellow or C.Fn tabs).

Buy a used 1D Mark III instead. They cost about the same, but the 1D Mark III can AEB with more shots than just three.

Well i do assign it to my menue
but for some reason with all the new featues of the 7D i thought i could
(it kills me that Nikon has a dedicated simple button for it even on the D80/D90) - i thought many people use AEB

As for the 1D MIII - i do not need more than 3 exposures but it would be nice to go more than +- 2 stops

The 7D does support +/- 3 stops of AEB.

I have used it once, to test if it works. That's all.
