My first time seeing a Surf Scoter and the first time a gull tried to intimidate me.

Way to go Phil. What a magnificent head on the Scoter. I've seen a few of these guys posted lately. What a find. The White-winged Scoters should be here soon too though I think the Surf has a more dramatic head. Good shooting buddy.

Joe... there is a dozen White-Winged Scoters by the lift bridge in Hamilton, along with the Surfs.
I'm waiting for the Black Scoters.
