This is my first post on here. The picture was the fourth I'd taken of this bird. He was still perched for the others. Funny thing is this came out better than the others. Slightly tweaked in Lightroom, but not cropped. Resized for posting on another forum.

and it would be great if there wouldnt be that branches, but there are some tings you can't change..

I agree on where to have him in the image. I was riding my motorcycle and saw him in the top of that tree. Stopped and pulled out the point and shoot to get at least one picture before he flew off. He stayed so I hopped off the bike and got the big camera out, but didn't take off my helmet. I took 3 shots with him perched, then decided to take off my helmet and get serious...then he took off. I was just lucky to get him in the frame at all. I need to get a flip up helmet so I can actually get the viewfinder close to my eye.

Oh well, it was fun.

Pretty sure it is a Red Shouldered Hawk. BTW
