Mic/Austen (and JustAl) - (very) in-depth review of Quadra's here http://www.ronscheffler.com/blog/?page_id=247 (external link)

Thanks Rai - I read that last night, and it kinda pushed me back towards the Einsteins.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Where's the cheapest place to buy an 8GB Extreme III CF card that can get it me me by Friday people? Cameras Direct is $99 but currently out of stock.

Also is anyone in here playing around much with video editing and the 5D2? I am confused by all the software options, some free, some not, and the amount of people saying if I am not on a Mac then it's ten times tougher.

Well I'm not on a Mac, but I still want to make movies to integrate with my slideshows.

Any help?

:) Hayley

Sony Vegas is the one most people say to go for Hazey.

Try DCW for the card and ask for express post?

@ Krystle, get up to the area and go out to the Bellingen Valley and up the Thora road, you will love me even more for it! We stayed in a large Yurt called Serendip, right on the river. Lovely when its not flooding!

It's not harder without a Mac. Sony Vegas is really good, and Adobe Premiere Elements is supposed to be great bang for the buck.

Hey folks. Just wondering if anyone gets prints of their photos done online? And if so, who do you use? After getting 20 odd prints done at the local Harvey Norman I didn't realise the price of $6.95 for each 8x10 print! Surely I can get them done cheaper online for the same quality prints?

As for video editing on a windows box, Premiere Elements does the job admirably for the price.

Partly the "one pack per head' thing, which has been something I've been thinking since the consideration started, not really sure about the rest, but it certainly made me think the ABs were probably better for me.

Officeworks 8x10 and 8x12 prints are around $3.50, mate. Have a look at Snapfish.com.au too, not sure how much they are there but I would suspect it's less than $7 from Hardly Normal!

Some of them are ok but some are very bad. This one (external link) makes no sense at all.

Yeah, I don't get it either and IIRC it was listed as portraiture? The second one in the slideshow held my attention for the longest.
