Good Lord! Are you lot still going on about lighting?!?!?

It's all about the light.

Only where K^c¾√3 < 1

Well I was pointing out that if you have:

E = mc²

Then to find c² you need to divide both sides by m

E/m = (mc²)/m

Thus

E/m = c²

and then you take the square root of both sides to get c

√(E/m) = c

True Dave.

But the calculation gets interesting when you add the other factors in.

Energy equals mass times speed of light squared, e =m x c x c

But here on this forum our resident mathamatician expert Colin, would tell us of the variables involved.

The stretch factor of the fabric our universe is made of is varibale depending on the material. Colin would postulise that one of the most stretchable fabrics would be the material in his mankini,

hence e = makini times acceleration times the speed of light squared

So in fact, Colins mankini is e divided by c squared, and anyone knows if you have to wear e divided by c squared its very uncomfortable.
HTH!

Nice work, Prof...

Screen profilers/calibration devices - what's the latest gun device, and where to buy it from? Looks like my Eye-one Display has been broken by the latest Win7 updates, or something. (It's a bit old, anyway, I guess.)

Depends who does your printing, often they want you to use their calibrator so every one is one the same level

Speaking of printing, a fashion designer I shot her range for in January has just sent me a couple of copies of her look book she had printed up from the images we made for a fashion expo she was at.:D Not bad printing except for the detailed shot of a black layered dress where I ensured the details could be easily seen has come out way to black.:(, but one shot out of the book isn't too bad for a rushed printing job, I'd blame the graphic designer who liased with the printer.

But that's the point of a calibrator, to get everyone on the same page.

Nice work on the catalog!

Thanks Al, Juice. The hard part of shooting fashion is hiding the shots from the clothes addict I live with..
"Ohh I like that.. oooo that I have to have, look at that" I suppose its cheaper than if she fell in love with real estate photos!

Well my Spyder3 works on Win7 (and MacOSX Snow Leopard, and WinXP, etc).

Nice job indeed Damo. Bugger about the botched print job - graphic designer probably stripped the colour profile :(

Ta. This is frustrating, but, oh well.

Associated question (funny how these happen): Do I worry about printer profiling, or do I just use my Epson A4 printer for home stuff, and get the pro stuff printed out? I'm leaning towards the latter, I must say.

@Juice,why not get a pro printer and do it all yourself that way you have complete control over the entire process. And if it stuffs up theres only one person to blame!

Because that's not cheap, that way, and I don't really have room for a pro printer.
