Feel free to go on about it........I'd be pretty darn pleased with myself too if I had of done something like that !!!

(Would of been better with Quadras ;) ??)

:-)

Yeah, it probably would have been, but the 550s were OK. They dragged a bit when recycling towards the end of the shoot.

I don't see why not consider yourself a PJ.

Good enough for me!

For those waiting for a Zone Controller, I just noticed this update on the PW site

Yeah :-( Could have done with that today, would have made life a fair bit easier.

Oh well, I just need a CyberCommander and Einsteins :-)

(Anyone see a theme here?)

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

You were busy today assisting/decapitating Maggie, poor thing.

Hmmmm, decent old fight outside this morning - often you get a bit of yelling and screaming as people head out of the Peel Hotel here in Collingwood, but this one - between two chicks - involved a bit of actual violence. Had ended by the time I got upstairs and got the lens on the camera though. (Was also way too dark, really, even at 3200.)

Have seen a couple of PDFs for the mag using my pics/story - he's done a good job.

Most instructive quote from yesterday: "I was shooting with this guy a couple of weeks ago - really high end gear - and he was a really good photographer, but I don't think I'll use him again, as he kept shooting what he wanted to shoot, not what *I* wanted him to shoot."

Probably too late for you now, but I haven't found cheaper than Ryda for CF cards
http://www.ryda.com.au …sh-Memory-Cards-s/329.htm (external link)

I think video editing of 5D2 footage is a PITA on windows and mac. Seems the bit rates are too high for most software (or processors?) to deal with easily and most workflows I have read about involve downsampling and editing with a proxy file and substituting a native file for the final render. Far too much for my meagre brain (and patience) to cope with. Why don't Canon allow a widescreen SD option for video on their cameras?

Jeepers,

last month I bought 2 Sandisk 16 GB extreme from DCW for $119.00 now they are over $160 there.

About to play with the video on the 7 D this weekend, we will see how that edits up!

Hmmm, sounds like the other tog was all talent and no customer service skills huh? You were given two ears and one mouth, use them in that ratio when dealing with clients.;)

Yesterday, I just kept asking: "Is this what you want? Happy with this? Looser? Tighter?" :-)

That's more reasonable compared to the orignal RRP that was splashed about last month!
