Heya ozzies,
This is my first post on this forum btw, and i'm on the wrong thread already, since I'm not even australian....
but...I'm going on a 5-week campertrip along the eastcoast (from sydney to cairns-ish) and I'm hoping to capture some of australia's fantastic wildlife/nature (in my photo's ofcourse). I have already made a long list of all the National Parks I want to visit, but are there any places i really shouldn't miss photography-wise?
I highly recommend Broken River @ Eungella National Park, 80kms west of Mackay (Qld). Be there at Dawn or Dusk to see a real live wild Platypus (sometimes two or more).
e.g.
If you divert inland a bit, you're almost guaranteed to see kangaroos (also around dawn/dusk), pretty much the whole way up the coast (on the western side of the Great Dividing Range).
Crocodiles have been seen anywhere north of about Mackay, just don't get eaten by one while trying to photograph them
