I took a few test shots with my PWs this morning. Thanks to Polly the Cat for her modelling efforts.

EXIF for all shots 100ISO, 1/4000, f2.8 - shot with 1D Mark III and 70-200 f2.8L IS. One 580EX left hand side approx 3 feet from Polly and a 580EXII about 6 feet off to the right both approx 45 degrees to the subject.

Shots are straight out of camera - just converted to JPG and uploaded to smugmug (which applied default sharpening).

No flash.

Hehe.

I just exposed for the background and let the PWs do their thing - nothing too creative about it.

@Glenn,thanks.

@Damo,a bit like me every chance I get I tell blokes to get themselves checked sooner rather than later. As for the support lots of positive thought is good.

Well I just hit 41 so I guess it's not too far off for me before I start getting digit checks.

Hope things work out well for you John.

I went for one earlier this year, put it off for weeks.. then mths.... Then got the courage and hopes up for a bit of digit action, but after the questionare and blood tests etc, no digit.. Is it a compulsory thing? Would the other tests and questions tell him no need for a good indexing, or did he just not find me attractive enough?

You're obviously not attractive enough. These doctors can pick and choose, so only the best for them.

@Richard,your a bad man you've got me thinking about PWs now.

@juice,great fun shot why am I not surprised to see Als laptop has camera gear on screen.

@Adam C,thanks remember get the check sooner rather than later.

@Bruce,I don't know about your looks but maybe the Doc thought you might like it:rolleyes: I think the digit check is to see if its enlarged or got rough instead of being a smooth gland. The PSA result tells them lots depending on your age.

When my (Lady) Doc gave me the finger, she mentioned that this wasn't going to be the highlight of the day for either of us !!

I've since then got the impression that as long as they've offered you the blood test they've CYA (or, more specifically, covered THEIR ass), I think you actually need to ask for the *cough* ummm...... naaa...no nice way to say it...."finger up the bum".

All the information I've read seems to say that you really need to get BOTH the PSA and the "finger" check to be sure.

Occasionally bad things may not show up on a PSA test ........
