Just loaded up LR and then it crashed hard. Reloaded, and got the usual "must check catalog integrity" message. The got the "catalog is corrupt: repair or choose another catalog" message. Hit repair, works a while, then says it can't fix it.

Good old backups. Copied this morning's copy back, all good.

Phew!

Yup. I like how LR is paranoid and prompts you regularly to allow it to run a backup when you start it.

Don't think I've posted this before...

Lovely! Awesome bit of selective-colour-but-not-in-post :)

It probably would if I didn't have it turned off :-)

Ta - I saw it off the balcony and had to get down there to shoot it :-)

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Rad shot, I just wish it was landscape. The framing just seems a little odd with it portrait.

More like this then ?

I've done a bit of travelling over the past little while, and when I came home from Indonesia on Monday I thought i'd update my site.

It's taken the last few days (and sleepless nights) but it's at a stage where i'm relatively happy with its simplicity and effectiveness. If anyone would like to check it out and give feedback, please feel free!

Not bad, although I'm not sure about the "One Two Three" menus. Sure they go to pages 1, 2 & 3, but it's an odd placement.

Well I got some stuff added to the Prado recently, but haven't had a chance to shoot it properly since. Managed to get out this morning - weather was carp, but the clouds proved interesting.

Nice! May agree with the previous who said landscape might work better, but portrait works well, too. I really need to wash my car again and find a location. Wish I knew there was somewhere like this around

Edit: I prefer the closer shot than that second one, specifically the angle.

I like the landscape better, Dave, but the crop is way too loose, I reckon. Just makes the truck something in the image rather than the focus.

Ok, last one (I promise).

Landscape, closeup.

@Dave d,love the clouds in #1 would have liked to see more detail of the front wheels.
#2 I think the Prado could have been a bit more prominent maybe cropping might fix it,#3 again more detail of front wheels would be better, just my take on them.

I like the high-contrast conversion.

I think I like the third one the most, but the first is a great shot on its own merit, much more of a scene than the third. Seems like you just can't win, Dave

 It's not Luke. If you go back two pages, you'll see his real number plate on some quick captures of the old vs new body.

Yeah that'd be the high-contrast conversion, although being black under the car, getting detail in there without some form of additional lighting might be tricky.

Well it's all good practice. Afternoon is shaping up to a possibly decent sunset (albeit cold), so I might try again in a little while.

Nah, photoshopped plates - much better looking that the usual white rectangle or swirl that most people do ;-)a
