Rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Not bad. Been busy getting excited about a change in style (photographically) and being completely ignored on redbubble. ed. wrote in post #9513860 Anyone after a mint 5D + grip + 4 batteries? If I had the spare readies, maybe. What you asking?

Like a lot of places on the net, you'll only get going on there if you contribute a lot yourself. $1700 is probably a better price than what they haven't been selling for at other places.

Maybe he figures it's better to blame the lens then your own ignorance....Or then again maybe he doesn't know he is ignorant !!!

I liked it because they focus on art rather than just being a dumping ground, so theoretically the quality is better. I never intended to sell anything, but I don't seem to be getting many views or anything either. Like I said, if I had the readies, I might. I'm starting to warm to the idea of going FF instead of lusting for a 1Dx

That's how ANY gallery site works. Well, redbubble is similar to flickr in the sense that it's a social networking site as well - there are groups for different topics and each has its own forum. Just adding your images to groups exposes it to a number of potential viewers.

How's the 5D Mk1 standing up these days? Not too old yet? I guess it wouldn't be hard to be an upgrade for my old 400D..

You'll be blown away by the high-ISO performance and the "pop" of your images created by the naturally lower DoF. The body is also much more ergonomic on the hands and you'll have a ball with the huge viewfinder... Col | Flickr

I've never really gone through the place but I remember it being very arty. Hell, Flickr's cameras section shows the iPhone as the most popular 'camera' by shots uploaded. justAL wrote in post #9514076 You need to market in order to get the exposure. That's how ANY gallery site works. Definitely. But some places are very stuck up and it just doesn't work because the elitists don't want new people trying to invade AdamC wrote in post #9514137 How's the 5D Mk1 standing up these days? I'm actually just about to downgrade cars to free up some disposable income, but I may be travelling to the UK in 18 months or so and want to upgrade before then (or buy a new one to take, and get it duty-free.)
