I'm actually after a second 5D, but not interested in the grip.

Another one? How come?

Love to, but not just yet. I'm actually just about to downgrade cars to free up some disposable income, but I may be travelling to the UK in 18 months or so and want to upgrade before then (or buy a new one to take, and get it duty-free.)

You say may be travelling, so I reckon upgrade before you travel. If you upgrade soon, you'll be happy now and when you travel. If you don't, you'll put it off and plan to get it when you travel but then if your travelling gets delayed, you'll just put the camera off too.

Finally checking in on the new thread. So, uh, how is everyone?

Rather awesome, actually..

I went to the Apple store this morning to see what was wrong with my laptop. I was right - it's the graphics card. Usually it would require a new logic board (costing around $1300). But this particular graphics card has known issues, and thanks to a recall is going to be free..:) :p Will take 2-3 weeks to repair.. just in time for uni.

Now I should look for my Canon paperwork, and get on to them about my 40D..

In 18 months, the 5D III should most definitely be out and 5D II's would be going for pretty cheap, let alone the 5D!

Another one? How come?

I always planned to have two. :) On APS-C, I went around with two bodies - an UWA on the 30D and either the 70-200 or a fast medium telephoto prime on the other. Moving to FF now, my 85/1.8 is practically married to my existing 5D, so I'd like another to marry the 16-35L II.

Great set Andrew !!!

But I'm not too sure of the wisdom of the guys running the Navy boat over, The Navy guys might have BIG backup !!!

Nah, that's Lorne getting run over (again).

Navy are sponsoring the Surf Rowers League. Surfboats generally have their name +/or major sponsor on the bow and the club name on the stern.
