Have a fun time out.
They can choose to do it a couple different ways.
First: they can complete a foster application, (and related forms of liability, etc) and foster the pup with a 'pending' application, until the pup is old enough to be fixed. Then they need to bring the pup to us, and we get everything done. At that time we would collect the adoption fee, adn finalize the adoption.
This way works well when the family is local.
Or
They can sign a spay/neuter agreement, which includes all veterinary information, and an appointment made before a certain date (depends on vet). It's all verified by us, and if the dog isn't fixed by the date we set, then we take the dog back. They pay for all vet costs.
It sounds fairly simple, but it takes a bit of leg work, and dedication. And if the adopters balk at it at all, or aren't willing to do what is asked then it's a no go.
Sounds like a good system.
So, we didn't have an adoption event today. Decided with everything going on, and still looking for Jenna, that we'd take the weekend off from event-ing.
And we got 4 dogs adopted today.

One is on a sleepover, and they will decide tomorrow for sure.
Ivory, the little white cocker spaniel that we had shaved down after pulling her from the shelter.
Kolbe, you all know about because I gushed earlier.
His is a for sure. And *drum roll please*.... MILEY AND ZIGGY!!! The brother and sister doxies that we've had forEVER.
A family took both of them. It's still a 'trial' for the next couple days, so it could change, but they were pretty sure that it was going to be a good fit.
The doxies were SO happy. They'd been separated for about a week or so, because we were testing their behavior on being split up in case that was the only way that we could find them homes.
You should have seen them running around their new back yard. It was so awesome.
Miley was having a bit of trouble with the stairs in the house, but it only took Ziggy a few minutes to figure them out. Miley will get it.

I'm SO happy for them, and would appreciate everything you have being crossed that the family does decide to keep both of them. (the mom was hesitant on getting two dogs, but her family was changing her mind, lol).
That is great news Cat.
OH!
And we got a new foster.

Meet Drake. He's a Wheaten Terrier. He's a big goofy boy.

He is a cutie Cat. I am sure that he will go to a good home soon
