I have always crate trained out pups and they have always took to them easily. After a bit I don't even bother closing the door, they just prefer spending the night in their crate. It also makes traveling much easier and safer.

I tried introducing Ashley to a crate once. It didn't work out very well. Her reaction to it ripped my heart apart, and I threw that brand new $50 crate in the dumpster.

Now, I kinda wish I'd put it in storage instead. I could use it now...

If you had asked me three years ago what I thought about crates for pets, I woulda given you an ear-ful about how much I thought they were such a bad idea. Now, I'm thinking I need a second one because the furkids are fighting each other over the one we have... (Yet, not one of them will go in the freaking doghouse that's in the bedroom! It's the same size as the crate! It just doesn't have a door on the front that closes... )

That is so cool! :D

Furkids can be funny. Buddy must have been crate trained - we have one the he goes into on his own, but the cats have never gone in as far as we know. Now the cat bed on top of the bookcase (especially if the heater is on) is a different story.

On the way to my parents house in AZ is a pecan farm. When I was out there last, we made a stop and I brought home both regular pecans and pecan pralines for a friend who loves pecans. His wife (who is actually more crazy about Monkeys than I am) made some homemade ice cream with the pralines. It is sooooo good.

Now the cat bed on top of the bookcase (especially if the heater is on) is a different story.

I had one of those windowsill perches on the bedroom window that all of my cats loved. But, when Kitteh broke the window, the maintenance guys had to remove the velcro strip that held it in place so they could replace the glass. I still haven't gotten around to re-installing that perch for the cats. They probably hate me for that...
