Holy moo. Crissa and Becky (and anyone else) did you see the Swiss guy skate to the William Tell Overture? I so couldn't figure skate....surely couldn't spin the way he did!@

No chance tonight. We had a shoot and I have been putting of doing month-end, so did some work on that also.

Then got a call my middle brother is in the hospital with cellulitis which could also be combined with shingles and Lyme disease. They are pumping him with antibiotics, treating for all three and testing along the way.

He got mom's voice mail and called me. I called mom at 9:15 still no answer and again at 10:00, no answer so I went to check on her. Her phone was in another room and her TV was turned up too loud for her to hear the phone.

On the way, my check engine idiot light came on, it seemed to have no get up and go and at a stop was vibrating. Curt said all vital fluid levels are OK, so will need to get her in to be checked. Yeah, it has been an interesting evening. I'm going to bed.

G'Nite.

I'd bet almost anything that Ashley was a whole lot closer to that nine year mark at the time the vet told me "two"... But, since nobody knew anything about Ashley's past, it's really anybody's guess.

The vet should be able to tell her age just by looking at her teeth. Any good vet can give a very close estimate.

Now, rescue... THATS a different story. We only have a couple different 'ages'.

Baby, 4 months, about a year, 3 and 5.

That's it.  :p

*jealous*

I miss winter already...

But, now that it's warming up around here, I'm kinda anxious to see how my poppies do. My friend with the farm/vineyard in Central California gave me a big bag of poppy seeds when I was up there for Christmas. They have tons of poppies growing on their land and she harvests the seeds. I spent most of January tossing poppy seeds around in the field where I walk Minnie. I wonder how many of them will bloom this year and how many will remain dormant for future years...

What species?

Crap Bucky, I hope things take a turn for the better.
The car sounds like it is down a cylinder. Maybe a plug wire or a plug coil. I hope it's simple.

That's what the vet used to estimate her age. But, Ashley always had great teeth. I have to wonder if maybe her teeth were just better than average for her age when I got her. Physically, she looked a lot more than 9 when she died. Or, maybe I'm just trying to convince myself that she didn't die at such a young age...

Besides, I was never very impressed with that vet, anyway. I switched to a different one that I was much, much, much happier with, shortly after I adopted Ashley.

I dunno how you all do it. The one's of you that do "certain" shoots and then have all that processing and someone "waiting" for you to get them done. GAAAAA!!!! I hate it!!! much prefer to do my "shoot what I want, and process when I feel like it" way.

In the plans for tomorrow:

Luna goes to meet a new family and try out for a potential 'job'. If all goes well, it will be PERFECT for her. Keep fingers crossed.

Star's adoption will be finalized. Her surgery went well, and they are keeping her.

Serra is going on another week long foster/trial. This one seems like it will be really good for her. Fingers crossed again.

Jasmine's adoption will be finalized.

We get another new foster. Misty, a German Shorthair pointer from the shelter.

We wait to see if we are getting a big ol Weimaraner.

I learn to give up my job with HART as the graphic designer, as someone stepped in who is faster/better than I am. Let it go, Cat. Let it go.

I try to figure out some way to make my house not smell like dog pee. Might need to find a different foster home for the puppies before that happens though, LOL.

I avoid my bills.

I pretend that I didn't get 5 days behind because I was gone for 24 hours.
