What species?

Just yer average, every-day California Poppy. This state is covered with 'em every Spring. Except for that field. The last couple years there have been millions of tiny yellow and blue flowers (I don't know exactly what they are), but there were no poppies. I'm hoping to fix that...

The vet should be able to tell her age just by looking at her teeth. Any good vet can give a very close estimate.

We went through that with Buddy. The County Animal Services web site had him listed as six months old. When we saw him we knew there was no way he was that young. We guessed about two years. After we decided to adopt him, he was given an "exit exam" by a vet tech who estimated his age as six years old. They were a little concerned we wouldn't take him when we found out he was that old, but we'd already made up our minds.

Cat...oxyclean powder (not the spray stuff). Use it in a carpet cleaning machine. It's amazing. Really. Hale was so hard to potty train (because of the crate confinement we had to do it 2x). You'd never know it. No stains. No smells.

Z...awwww she's growing up! *sniff*

Lonnie...pretty photo!

okay, I was out before but not gone. Now I'm gone and out.

p.s. only 2.5 more days till Hale's stitches are out!! (I cannot wait)

It goes both ways too... the shelters sometimes can't be bothered with listing a dog's age.

Thanks. That was from last year at the poppy reserve in Lancaster, a short drive from where I live. I'm hoping to turn the the field across the street into something similar, with help from my friend who supplies the seeds...

oh Cat...the biggest test with the oxyclean...I was drinking a glass of red wine in the living room. Hale blasted in and knocked the entire glass on the carpet. It was the worst stain I've ever had on a carpet. I soaked up the wine, filled up a bowl with hot water and dissolved the oxyclean. And just cleaned it up by hand. It's the cleanest spot on my carpet currently and the wine spill was 1.5 months ago.

I'm going to have to try that.

We've had way too many unhousebroken dogs lately. One or 2 at a time is ok, but WOW.

We clean every spot, but I think there are spots that have been missed.
We've steam cleaned the carpets twice in the last few weeks, but it almost seems as though it makes it worse. ?!

In the plans for tomorrow:

Luna goes to meet a new family and try out for a potential 'job'. If all goes well, it will be PERFECT for her. Keep fingers crossed.

Star's adoption will be finalized. Her surgery went well, and they are keeping her.

Serra is going on another week long foster/trial. This one seems like it will be really good for her. Fingers crossed again.

Jasmine's adoption will be finalized.

We get another new foster. Misty, a German Shorthair pointer from the shelter.

We wait to see if we are getting a big ol Weimaraner.

I learn to give up my job with HART as the graphic designer, as someone stepped in who is faster/better than I am. Let it go, Cat. Let it go.

I try to figure out some way to make my house not smell like dog pee. Might need to find a different foster home for the puppies before that happens though, LOL.

I avoid my bills.

I pretend that I didn't get 5 days behind because I was gone for 24 hours.

Good lord. fingers crossed on all accounts and congrats on the adoptions!!! Let the graphic design GO!!!!!:lol: and if you ever want to foster any more Weimars I know how you can get them.:lol:

I'm not gone...I have been processing coffee plantation shots.

At the end of a roast, the coffee is being dumped from the roaster into the cooling bin...I LOVE this shot. (but it's probably just cuz I'm obsessed with coffee) I think I'm going to print it big (with some companion shots) for my house. Seeing it on the web doesn't do it justice at all.

Hi everyone. It's been a long day cause I just got home a few minutes ago. I really hate deadlines.

Cat I remember your living room being carpet. I was watching one of Wades videos last week and was thinking that you should take out the carpet and put in tile. It would make your life so much easier.

I spread a bag of wildflower seeds around the backyard last fall. I am hoping to see some start coming up soon.
