well I love this shot. I didn't take it, my dad did. But whenever I see it, I wonder what "could have happened" if the course of life shifted just a little bit right then.

Awwww, love it:)

my stupid cheeks are legendary in my family. They've always been pinchable. GAH. My great aunt Marie (that Austrian aunt) hadn't seen me for 15 years and she came up to me at a funeral and said (in a very thick accent) Lisa! I would know you anywhere! Your cheeks (which she used to pinch all the time) are just the same as ever! I'd have never known your brother at all...but you! You I would know...it's those cheeks!:lol::lol: *followed by much weeping and gnashing of teeth on my part*

Whoa, door wide open, smart a$$ comments running through head, hmmm, nope, not going to.

:p

Better than that was the looks we got from people a we stood in the rain, in the pitch dark at 11:30 at night, cameras blazing away on tripods:lol:

This made it all worthwhile.

Oh....my garbage disposal died today, too. That wasn't a complete surprise, and I had already picked up a new one at Lowe's. I just didn't want to actually have to fix it for a few days.

How was everyone else's day?

Holy HOCK, Chief! I truly hope all works out well.

VOTE!!!!

*raises hand* I'm guilty of not voting everyday and now H.A.R.T. has fallen to 5th place in the state.

Let's rally and bring Cat and friends back up in the standings.

GAH!! :o thank you for the reminder.

Seems I lost some quotes, or maybe I forgot to click the little button, lol. Some great pics!

Paula, I agree, the dog shooting, although potentially boring, could be a great way in!

Hullo

very nice!! Is this with the 70-200? I'm seeing sharper shots with this than I have from you 100-400. And with NO IS, I'm beginning to wonder if it's your 100-400 & not your ability to hold it still, that is the problem after all.

Nope. I hardly used the 70-200 at all. I wanted to, but the dogs were to far out for that lens to reach. I used the 100-400 all day that day. Thank goodness it was a sunny day and I could get that shutter speed wayyyy up there.

So Luna is on a 2 day trial run. They were interested in 2 dogs, and want to try them both before making a decision. Luna gets to go first. Then Louie will go for a couple days after that.

If this works out for her, ti would be perfect. She will be a golf course dog. She gets to go to work all day with her owner, chasing birds off the course, and hanging out with whoever is driving the golf cart.

Then she would get to spend her evenings with her owner's family.

One of our other dogs was adopted to a golf course manager, and it is a GREAT life for the dogs. They absolutely love it.

SO I hope i hope i hope i hope that this works out for her!

Although, if he ends up choosing Louie, that will be good for him too, I just hope he chooses Luna!

Cat -the femine feline with the namby arms. Loquacious, but not to a fault.

Dan, lovely photo. The sky kinda reminds me of in my Statue of Liberty shot in the POTN book.
