I am strangely grumpy today.
Meaning that I don't really know why I'm grumpy. I just am.

Everything feels out of whack.

You'd be surprised how a good dose of vitamin "D" a day helps with the grumpies.

Cat, has Chewie been adopted? He looks like an absolutely wonderful dog.

He hasn't. Chewie has bad knees and will have to take glucosomine for the rest of his life. He's also got colitis and needs to have someone willing to be careful about his diet.
He's only 4 years old, and is a wonderful dog. SO incredibly sweet.

Cat -the femine feline with the namby arms. Loquacious, but not to a fault.

awww we could permanently foster him. :)

We give our dogs glucosomine daily anyway. They love it.
not sure about the colitis thing though...don't have any idea how to deal with it.

Minnie gets a daily dose of glucosomine. And, while it wasn't officially diagnosed as colitis, I'm pretty sure she has that, too, with some allergies to make things more interesting. Even though I'm very careful about what foods and treats she gets, she still has "accidents" fairly often. The latest was this morning... *sigh* She keeps Bissell in business, making me keep their cleaning solutions in stock for my SpotBot...

I had completely forgotten about that thread. I need time to get out more.
It seems that my brief visits here are all the spare time I have lately.

We got a couple inches of snow last night that covered up all our growing bare spots. I will finally get to got out with the skis and get some training in pulling a loaded pulk. Jasper is doing just great with his panniers, nothing slows him down. :D

Good Afternoon everyone. I called in sick today, after my stomach decided to give me fits starting about 2 am

I had some computer issues this morning - but Lonnie - love the poppy field. Paula - very nice pup on point. Lisa - nice coffee photo too. I think it would look nice in your kitchen.

Goodnight, everyone. We had a very stressful day here that involved hours at the police station, bad guys with guns, threats, driving around keeping one eye out for people who don't wish us well, etc..

Alls well that ends well. We now have a new cell phone, so the abusive messages have stopped. The three strike law has been explained to the bad guys by our friends at the local sheriff's department, and I expect these fellows will be moving on now that they know they've caught the attention of the local constabulary.

One of the guys we've been contending with is a triple felon, and should already be doing life in prison because of California's 3-strike law, but his last conviction was thrown out on a technicality (or something like that). His next conviction will put him back in prison for the rest of his life. He has already served a total of twenty years for various crimes including burglary, assault, and manufacturing drugs, The other guy has only been convicted of one felony (battery and domestic violence.) These are some real sweet fellows.

They are illegally in possession of a property we manage, and are trying to shake us down for $3,000 to get them to move. Normally this would be just a simple civil matter, but the veiled threats are pretty unsettling. The triple felon is just a sleazy person with no scruples. The other guy has an explosive temper, and has threatened me on the phone. After their talking-to by the police chief, I'm sure they're not going to be too happy with us.

This is sure not how we planned on spending our golden years.

Oh....my garbage disposal died today, too. That wasn't a complete surprise, and I had already picked up a new one at Lowe's. I just didn't want to actually have to fix it for a few days.

How was everyone else's day?

Hope today is better for you Chief. How are you feeling?

VOTE!!!!

*raises hand* I'm guilty of not voting everyday and now H.A.R.T. has fallen to 5th place in the state.

Let's rally and bring Cat and friends back up in the standings.

So Luna is on a 2 day trial run. They were interested in 2 dogs, and want to try them both before making a decision. Luna gets to go first. Then Louie will go for a couple days after that.

If this works out for her, ti would be perfect. She will be a golf course dog. She gets to go to work all day with her owner, chasing birds off the course, and hanging out with whoever is driving the golf cart.

Then she would get to spend her evenings with her owner's family.

One of our other dogs was adopted to a golf course manager, and it is a GREAT life for the dogs. They absolutely love it.

SO I hope i hope i hope i hope that this works out for her!

Although, if he ends up choosing Louie, that will be good for him too, I just hope he chooses Luna!

Fingers crossed for Luna and everyone else out on sleepovers.
