Maybe if you didn't spend so much time farting in the tub...

A guy has to have some fun in his life, you know. :p

<----- is not grumpy, hasn't farted in a bathtub in years and can't do a lick of any tile work. Carry on.

Glad to hear you are not grumpy Dan, I like that in a guy.

No update on my brother other than the swelling is starting to go down. He is waiting on the specialist to come in. On a positive note, his wife who has been out of work and looking since June of 2008 started a temp position today at a company where she has been trying to get a foot in the door. :D

Glad things are looking up fro them, Becky. Best wishes headed their way. :D

Love the roller derby queen on skates. The trading cards will easily double in price after the Olympics.

Anywho.....just been here, working, cleaning, tending to preggo 'n stuff. Mari is doing great btw, but now is considering taking up the doc on a sooner induction date....so we'll see.

Hey Robert.
Why is the doc suggesting an earlier induction date?

Evening Jim.
Honestly, I don't know. I think it's her thing. She told Mari that she could induce on March 12th, Mari said nah, I'd like it closer to actual due date. Thus the 19th was picked. Doc then said, okay, but when you are more miserable than today (two weeks ago) you are going to come back and ask me if you can induce on the 12th. Soooo....I think the doc knew

I'm all for cooking the full time, unless it is for a good medical reason. I know, easy to say for a guy, but Ethan was induced and we regret it. I really did not care too much for Lisa's doctor to begin with, she missed diagnosing any sign of my cancer when I went to her with the issues I was beginning to have. There really was no good reason for her to induce Lisa, her reasoning was just to be cautious. How convenient for the Doctor, come induce early in the day, go about your regular duties, then come back in the afternoon to deliver. No having to deliver off of office hours. Lisa's labour was more difficult then the first time with Caitlin too.

So Luna is on a 2 day trial run. They were interested in 2 dogs, and want to try them both before making a decision. Luna gets to go first. Then Louie will go for a couple days after that.

If this works out for her, ti would be perfect. She will be a golf course dog. She gets to go to work all day with her owner, chasing birds off the course, and hanging out with whoever is driving the golf cart.

Then she would get to spend her evenings with her owner's family.

One of our other dogs was adopted to a golf course manager, and it is a GREAT life for the dogs. They absolutely love it.

SO I hope i hope i hope i hope that this works out for her!

Although, if he ends up choosing Louie, that will be good for him too, I just hope he chooses Luna!

Maybe they'll take them both!!!

Yeah, I'm with you on leaving the bun in the oven till the timer goes off naturally. But thinking back since you mentioned medical reasons, it may be due to Mari's mitral valve prolapse (external link) and being in labor for 19 hours with Evan. I don't think the doc is trying to do it out of convenience because if Mari were to go into labor overnight, whichever OB/GYN is on call that night delivers the baby. Throughout the pregnancy visits to the doc office, Mari has to meet with each doc in the office to get to know them and so that they can get a feel for her medical history in case they have to deliver if her doc is off that evening.

We've seen and heard about various questionable doc's. Way long story short....one doc for a friend is a fertility doc. Our friend has been trying to get preggo for 4 years already and during the first year, it was determined that she has difficulty getting the eggs to fertilize. Her hubby is okay in his department. Anyhow, her doc (for 4 years) has been very lax instead of being aggressive to try and help our friend get pregnant. Always tells our friend "be patient it will happen naturally if you pray". But after 4 years, one would think that the doc would supplement with some sort of drug right? Well one day, wife heard about a doctor who specializes in fertility and convinced friend to go see him. Mari told friend, his name is easy to remember because his last name is the same as your current doc. Turns out.....they are brother and sister! But the brother doc is more mainstream and is willing to try various things to help folks be parents before they turn 50 years old

Sorry for the long post.
