I'll give you guys a basic idea of the day:
Even though Connor, Capri, and Chelsea were running as strays for over 2 weeks, found tied to a fire hydrant by a woman who took them in, who tried to find their owners for a few days with no results.. even though when she called us and asked if we could take them, and when we did we called all the shelters to see if anyone had reported them missing, with no luck... even after adopting Chelsea to a family in Pasadena, and having people who were seriously interested in Capri and Connor.....
their original owner called us this morning. A friend of hers had heard that we had her dogs, and contacted her.
She said that she's filed a civil suit against us for having her dogs.
We tried everything possible to see if there was some way legally that we could keep this dogs, but came up empty handed. Legally, we have to return these dogs to a life of backyard breeding/puppy mill crap and there is nothing we can do about it. *sob*
She agreed (after much talking) to let us buy Chelsea, because we'd already found her a home.
So at least Chelsea is out of that horrid situation, and on her way to a good home. But the pain we are experiencing at having to return Connor and Capri to her is indescribable.

I know John has been camped out waiting, lol...
