Who's Ed?

Talking horse. I think he's retired now or maybe in a couple bottles of Elmer's.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

First time I've heard that.... nice sound!

Wow! Really? That surprises me. That was a huge hit for Sting.

Gotcha, you had me all intrigued. And on the SEO, I figured you were so good at getting google to pick things up, lol....

I know there are certain things you can do, like meta tags in the HTML and stuff, that are supposed to help get you to the top of the search results, but I've never used any of those tricks. I heard somewhere, a long time ago, that the best way to get to the top was to just have a whole bunch'a sites, major sites, linked to you. So, that's the method I've always gone with. Seems to have done the trick for me. I get a ton of traffic to my sites just from web searches.

Of course, my main web site has been online forever, too. If I remember correctly, I first registered decloedt.com in 1996. Maybe a year or two later, but it had to be somewhere around then. So, I've had a whole lot of time to generate those links to my site that Google apparently likes to see.

LOL!! I can't believe you remembered that!! *many gold stars* We tell him today, on non-leap years.:lol:

There's an app for that... My cell phone told me it was his birthday. Or, as close to it as we were gonna get this year.

And, I might as well make it official, then...

Happy Birthday, Ed!

Brisk....with a rather stiff breeze....smells like snow.

How's things in the heartland?

Overcast, 30ish, so snow is melting in spots and I see I have some bulbs breaking ground near the foundation. Leaves look bluish and thick like Iris but thin like Jonquils, I'm guessing the latter this early in the game.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ED!!!!!

Make sure the PuddlePirates know today it is all about you. Of course we know everyday is like that, actually.:D

The intentions may be noble, but it's just more excessive legislation that will do nothing to solve a problem, while at the same time penalizing those who have been "playing nice" all along, anyway. *sigh*

ugghhh. I'm really feeling sorry for Mari. I know exactly what she is going through. However, my son was 2 weeks late so they went ahead and induced then did a c-section. Hope she is as comfortable as is possible and that you all get much needed sleep.

And guess what. We both fell asleep sometime around 6PM....Evan was still up and came to bed sometime after that. Then at 11PM we woke to Evan and another coughing fit....me being groggy, got up to make sure Dora went out before bedtime and that Joshua was inside from the cold. When I went walking around the house...all the downstairs lights were on because Evan didn't want to be walking around if a room was dark .

Best wishes to Mari, Bobert!

Thanks Jon.

It was excitement....and then the sleep was needed:lol:.

Thanks Tiff.

Paula - you're in Idaho, right? We're setting up our summer vacation plans and it looks like we may rent a place in New Meadows for a couple of weeks through Labor Day. Anywhere around you? Any other TPBM/RRTPers interested in meeting in that area?

Permagrin wrote in post #9696583 (external link)
I just googled it. (8.5 hrs from us) It might be something we could do. Would depend on a lot of things but it's a definite possibility

cfpackerfan wrote in post #9696639 (external link)
About 12 hours from us.

Oh yeah...that's a 32 hour drive for me. :p

GAH! Sorry for the upheaval Bobert. I surely hope that Mari is comfy and that you are rested!

Yeah, we got some rest last night  Almost 13 hours by the time I woke up this morning.

Oh! Oh! Funny thing happened today!!

We were in the local Penney's, and we were waiting in line at a cash register. This was one of those deals where they have some ropes set up, and everyone gets in one line. The first person in line goes to the next available register.

We were at the front of the line, and there was nobody behind us. Out of nowhere, a woman walked up to one of the registers without getting in line. Lois (the shrinking violet that she is) told the woman in no uncertain terms to wait in line like we had done. I think the lady was a little embarrassed, but walked around the ropes and got in line behind me.

When it was Lois' turn to go to the cash register, I lingered behind with the embarrassed lady. I said to her, "I don't think I want to go stand by that woman. She's scary." I was referring to Lois. I guess that confused the lady, and she said back to me, "If you ask me, I think she's a pain in the butt." I told her, "I don't think I can go that far. She's my wife." The poor embarrassed lady started apologizing, and I felt a little bad. It really was a dirty trick to play on her.

If I was more chivalrous, I would have challenged her to a duel to defend my wife's honor, but decided better of it. She looked like she might be able to defend herself.

Sounds like something I would do.

Well, we're officially empty nesters... One of the hummers fledged yesterday afternoon and the other took off this morning.

:(
Well hopefully one if not both will be back next year to make that nest their own.

There's a program on the History Channel right now about how the Maya people predicted the world will end on December 21, 2012. A few minutes ago the narrator said that they had left several texts about it.

I'm embarrassed and ashamed to admit that the first thing that popped into my mind, for just the briefest of seconds, was... "They had cell phones?"
