There's a program on the History Channel right now about how the Maya people predicted the world will end on December 21, 2012. A few minutes ago the narrator said that they had left several texts about it.

I'm embarrassed and ashamed to admit that the first thing that popped into my mind, for just the briefest of seconds, was... "They had cell phones?"

Somebody told me a nesting female will return to the same nest in following years...

I need to do some cleanup on the patio now that they're gone. They pooped EVERYWHERE!

The barn swallows do that to my porch every year....all down the corner of the walls and into a pile on the floor. Shovel for the pile, water hose for the loose bits...and pressure washer if there are some stubborn droppings that don't want to let go
