For those using Picasa but who don't let it automatically check for updates they have now updated it to open CR2's from a 7D. Mine updated just as I was about to download a few test shots.

Don't want to start cropping or applying corrections from within picasa. Taylor

rijndael Member 193 posts Joined Nov 2009 More info | Jan 22, 2010 14:03 | #5 Picasa has supported the 7D since early November. It's a shame that the raw reader automatically adjusts the picture, and you can't control it. It opens the picture correctly (for about 2 seconds), then it dims it.

Jan 22, 2010 15:13 | #7 Picasa is my "go to" program for at least 90% of what I do with my photos, and considering it's cost I'm not about to criticize how fast they add support for new cameras. I DO NOT use it for RAW conversions, but as already mentioned it's really nice to get rid of those pink things which represent the CR2's. A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.
