Well, I took my Japanese family to visit the city of my birth - London - for Christmas and had no problems at all. Even around the Houses of Parliament, "Big Ben", Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, Harrods and the National Museums.

Lots of pics, plenty of Police around and no "stopping and searching".

Of course, the media loves to jump at these things, but we all know the Police are pretty useless at preventing crimes and terrorism, so at least having all these stop and search powers they feel like they're not entirely a waste of space.

No....preventing crimes and terrorism is up to us - The People - by recreating communities that have some kind of moral basis for existence (and no, I'm not advocating a religious foundation - simply humanistic, "common sense" morals) through which we will "see 'em coming".

Over to you guys......I'm off out to meet the Missus for a coffee!
