Hi guys, I'm slightly puzzled here...so I'll try and explain as best I can...

In the past, I used my laptop to view, edit and export images (using Lightroom) which was fine.

Now I'm using my PC which has a Dell ST2410 (with the default profile) and a Samsung 226BW with it's default natural profile. The Dell is the main display, and the Samsung I'm using as extended space.

They are not the greatest displays, but they are fine for my needs. They have not been calibrated in any way.

The way Lightroom displays on the Dell is very different than the way it does on the Samsung. And I know they are different monitors, and have different profiles - what I'm trying to say, Lightroom is changing the colour of the images.

If I drag Lightroom across to the Samsung it views better, drag it back to the Dell, the colours change and don't look so great.

If the Lightroom window is placed half way between the 2 displays, I can see it nice on the Dell, but as soon as it goes over fully, it goes crap.

How can I change this? What is going on here...

sorry if this is a basic thing, as mentioned before I never really dealt with dual displays, and my knowledge on profiles etc is limited.

Then why do you expect them to be even remotely similar ???

LR is color managed, and uses the display profile set in the OS.
I have a dual screen setup (LaCie CRT and ACD. Both calibrated) Images appear identical (when within displays gamut obviously) on both screens...

hsk,

Note the "Both calibrated" reference in Rene's answer. Both your monitors will need to be given seperate attention when calibrating them. And I have no idea how you go about setting THAT up (ask Rene), because I'm strictly a single monitor user.
