Is there any kind of photography that you don't "care for"?

We all know that photography is about art, memories, nature, documenting things, and so on. But is there any kind of photography that you don't care for? I'm not going to say that you "don't like", that sounds a little harsh and is not my intention of saying I "hate" something. But if you HATE an area of photography, that's fine as well!

Personally I don't care for maternity photos. I know that some people might make a living shooting maternity photos, so please don't take offense! I just find looking at large rounds bellies well, a little weird. I am not a woman, nor do I have children (I am married though) , so perhaps I just haven't found an appreciation for it. I don't mind new-born baby pictures, but I don't care for ones that have the parents not wearing clothing (as in topless, not fully nude)- I mean really I don't care to look at that and question if the baby would want to see those when they are grown up!

Anyways, lets hear what others have to say..

Pictures my mom's side of the family takes. We're talking about people being centered on the bottom half of the picture bad.

Newborn pictures....I often worry that I won't make a cool enough dad one day so the thought of having kids now terrifies me. Ever see some guys with their kids? They're like dyanmo dads with endless amounts of energy. I can't even find the energy to start the car in the morning.

I think a lot of guys feel that way.

At least I hope I didn't just shed my soul there. . .

This post is getting more awkward by the line. .. ...

I find a lot of areas of photography repetitive. If someone has made the same shot before me, I'm probably not going to make it as well. That is why I'm drawn to street photography (traditional candids in the sense of Cartier-Bresson or Robert Frank); rarely is there ever the same photo made twice.

I'll never photograph another wedding. At my age, the 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM days that I used to spend photographing weddings (a long time ago) are way too long.

Flowers and bugs don't do anything for me.

I like candids and action shooting. A picture should tell me a story. I can't find any personality / story in a picture of a flower..

To each his own.

Too many, too big, too overdone, HD

Nude/ seminude women as blood encrusted vampires

Just about anything depicting violence for the sake of it

Any photo that borders on "art" as an "installation."

(Let's be clear, OK? A dead cow in plastic tanks was not, is not, and never will be---art of any kind. Neither will photos of similar, uh, events)

Amen, gone are my days as a regularly hired wedding coverage pro, for exactly those reasons. The thirty-something photographers can do the marathon grunt work! Now I sit as a guest of friends whose kids are getting married, and I provide supplemental shots and let the hired pro work hard. Meanwhile I eat and drink and fit photos in, rather than the other way around! :D

Macro work isn't fun as a pastime. Doing it with a dSLR for a contracted job is OK, but it is not 'fun'.

Street photography. I've attempted it twice, and both times nearly gotten into a fight. I'm done.

What HDR has become. I love a tastefully done HDR but the photos pushed to the max with halos everywhere just aren't my thing.

I guess it goes for just about every type of photography, there are styles of each I just don't care for.

Let me guess...you shot a photo of a gal who happened to be with her SO, and you were accused of being a pervert and shooting pictures of her butt, and her SO came to her defense! ;)
