I had this pretty flower that my GF grabbed to take macro shots of, so I decided it needed some smoke as a companion.

Setup was one flash camera right thru an umbrella, 2 incense sticks going right behind the flower with a gelled flash shooting straight up into the smoke (and also providing some backlighting for the flower).
