This is a shot of a Bald Eagle on the second outing with the 1D Mark IV.

Here is another picture with the Mark IV. The tracking on the AF system has been great for flying birds. For the Bald Eagle picture above out of about 30 pictures only 4 were soft.

Whys the ISO at 640 when the shutter is at 1/8000th?

He was in low light before he start flying and I didn't have time to adjust the ISO.

i guess one of these days ill understand pics of birds with crazy equipment, my friend has an 800mm canon lens and etc etc etc.. and for all that money, id at least be spy shotting miley cyrus and selling the pics to the tabloids..lol
