They are all wonderful. But where is your photo of the Panda?? ( I only say that because I love Pandas.) I want to go to San Diego just to take photos of them.

prolly sleeping in a tree. that was the case when i was there a few months back. all i got was a sleeping panda palm through the trees.

There was a really long line to see the panda and my daughter didn't want to wait!! I took a few pics from the sidewalk, over the fence and through the trees....will post up when I get home.

Here's the Panda pic. I was across the sidewalk and had to shoot over the fence. Luckily he was in the tree and I was able to get a pic or two.

Too cool. :D This is great. What lens did you use to take this photo? From what you said you must have been pretty far away.

Having never been to San Diego Zoo,I don't understand. How do they make people stand in line to see the animals? I can understand inside exhibits. But it looks like the panda is outside. Just wondering.

Like I said, I do hope to go there someday soon. But I don't want to spend the whole day in line.

Thanks
Theresa

that jaguar shot is great! i love the black background and the expression!

the eagle is called a Harpy eagle. the one in your photo is ruffling its feathers. i think birds look funny when they puff up like that.

I was using a 300 f2.8 lens for all of those shots. I brought the 70-200 but it never came out of the bag. I think the only lines are to see the Panda and the new baby Panda. They have it roped off and they funnel you through there. I don't want to give the impression that the line was WAY to long, it was maybe a 5 minute wait...but 5 minutes to my daughter is to long. I highly recommend a trip to the SD Zoo, its fantastic!! Be prepared to do a ton of walking though!!

Now you going with the eeyore side of things....

First, eaowl now eeyore. My office manager is going to call the ambulance or the cops, if I don't stop telling her about the way this thing is going.

She keeps saying things like, "close your door", get some work done" or stop surfin the net for photo sites" as I relate the small and delicated differences between an Eagle + and owl, and how it came to happen (it was a dark and stormy night..).
I think I am quite funny (actually a hoot, as she would say). Somehow I don't think she agrees with me. I may have to fire her and hire a funnier office manager.

However, with all that aside the pictures of the Harpy and the Jaguar are quite wonderful. not too sure about the last two, they look a lot like my children.
