I'm converting the garage over to a studio and one of my concerns is to make as much use of the available space as possible.
The garage ceiling is quite high and I was looking to fit a light up in the rafters, something diffuse, to help blow out the backgound and illuminate the subject.
I have 4 x bowens monolights and two 580's but even though the garage is just over 3 metres wide, and 6 metres long (top of the garage door is 2 metres) it may be a bit tight for a softbox and umbrella setup, used properly anyway.
Part of me is also saying because there is so much polystyrene in there which is quite reflective I could just bounce the light up for the same effect.
But space is important.
I looked at high glide stuff but it's a lot of money.
The red line is where I wanted to put the diffuse light source pointing down.
Any ideas?
