Hi everyone... I just setup my website and wanted your opinions on what you like and dislike about my site. I am trying to see how I can improve it.

Welcome to POTN!

I took a brief look at your site. The one biggest problem I saw was that in the galleries, on a few random pictures here and there, you seem to have an aspect ratio problem. Some pictures are displaying stretched horizontally.

Fred, in addition to CannedHeat's comments, I have to say I'm not a fan of your all-caps style text. For example, your entire bio is written in all caps, which can be considered as LOUD and even bordering on the obnoxious. In other words, you SOUND LIKE YOU'RE SHOUTING. Not a good impression.

You have some lovely shots though!

I was born and raised in Burbank, CA and the one I went to as a kid (Toluca Lake) is now a historical landmark. That's why I used it as an avatar. It reminds me just how flipped out we are. No wonder the rest of the world thinks Americans are crazy. Who, in their right mind, would make a damned hamburger stand a historical landmark? Cheers.

... well, sorta' stretching things a little, there. My parents owned a machine shop in Burbank and we made hydraulic blocks that went into them. An no, I was never close to one. I used to go up to the Mojave desert and watch them test fly. That's the closest I ever got.

come to mcminnville Oregon and see a blackbird up close. I would post a shot, but the photography is only allowed for personal use inside the museum. It is awesome, the engines are a testimony to what could be done before computer aided design and multi axis cnc manufacturing. It amazes me that the same machine that the government once denied even having can now be part of a private collection.

I agree with the 'all caps' statement. people do see that as yelling in cyber space.

Yes. Bob's Big Boy. I qualify that because back here in the east they're called Shoney's Big Boys (at least around here) and I have no idea what they are called in other places.

they dont even exist up here in the northeast. actually i dont think i have ever even eaten at one but i have seen them when i have traveled

Well, we've taken the topic off-center and to the OP, I apologize.

Just let me close with this: Bob's, Shoney's, whatever... doesn't matter if one is or is not near you because if you want a truly good burger, get to the southewest and into an In n' Out !
