I'm traveling to Draper Utah for work. My ability to get far before dark will be limited so I'm thinking places right near by. Are there any parks or trails, scenic places etc. that are very near by?

Try this site, a good resource for things to do outdoors in Utah. Probably someone there from Draper.

you can go up either little or big cottonwood canyon - there will be snow - but there are some nice frozen water falls up theses canyons and good ski areas - if you have more time go out to Antelope Island on the great salt lake - or go up Provo Canyon or American Fork Canyon - I forgot Mill creek canyon is another good place on the SLC side of the mountains
