Hello all, I need some advice.
I want to buy a camcorder, but also due for a new compact camera. I am curious if the quality of the video of the new compact is better or the same as a camcorder?
I am thinking of the canon fs200 camcorder or the canon sx200 is for a compact if i went that way.
So is the quality of the compacts better then the standard camcorders?
A friend of mine has the fs200 and the indoor videos are a bit grainy, does the compacts have good quality for indoor video?

Thanks for any advice, any other options would be gratefull to

Canon XTI, kit lens 18-55, Canon 50 1.8, Sigma 18-125, Canon 55-250 f4/5.6 IS, Sigma Super 500, Manfrotto 055XPROB

if shooting under low-lighting is important to you, you should stay away from camcorder, unless you want to folk-out... oh...just over $8,000 for a sony EX3 w/ 1/2" sensor. even then the EX3 is nothing compared to the DSLR video these days.

here's what I recommend getting, a Canon 7D.

first of all, what's your budget?

Second, what do you intend to use the camera for?
