I got my Induro AP2 tripod kit into from midwest photo exchange. I paid a whopping $98 w/ free shipping.

It was packaged nice.

Nice box and comes with padded cover.

For a $100 this thing is pretty strong - has about a 20lb working weight and is made of aluminum. I think it weighs around 6lbs.

pretty nice little 3 way head - it can be replaced for use of ball head.

good rubber feet

nice foam grip

Standing next to the a 7'' door for size and scale.

Overall really nice little tripod - if you have any questions just ask away.

So have you had a chance to use it yet? What's your thoughts??

I seen this Adventurer series model at a local camera shop (AP2 for 199.99) & I was very pleased with the fit & finish. Also was impressed with the tight tollerances in the fit of the legs as well as the head.

I left the shop with the intentionof talking the wife into approving the purchase:) I jumped on eBay just to see what they were selling for there. I was shocked to find a AP1 kit for 75.00 shipped!!
So it's on the way:)

Feedback is very hard to find on these as they seem to be a new product. So I was hoping to hear more from you.

Thanks

mines an AP2 and got in on ebay from midwest photo for 98. it works great, i dont have super heavy stuff but this is more than capable of holding my 30D w/ grip and 70-200 f/2.8L USM.

I'm 5'10" and its plenty tall for a person 6'2".

Thanks for the quick response. My camera & largest lens is about 3lbs. I'm 5'8" so I felt the AP1 would be a good unit for me at this time.

I guess my only concern is the low price. Has me wondering if I overlooked something, because in person it appears to be a quality piece.

i would go ahead and get the ap2, that way your not purchasing another tripod if you get a bit bigger lens.

as for quality its top notch, alot of pros are switching to induro from gitzo (the carbon fiber models), i know scott bourne is one of these pros.

way lower prices and great quality attract pro's.

The Induro Tripods are really nice.. I have just purchased Induro A213 and I really love it.. it's at my eye level when camera is mounted without even extending the center column, and I am 6'2", that is really a nice tall tripod for me. I love it. Now to spring enough money for the Carbon Fiber series.

I was confused for a second there. I thought OP - Mutau052 was Mufutau. I was wonderin why Mufutau went and got another Induro of similar specs, until Mufutau's last post

LOL. I can undestand the confusion. I saw the similarity in the name too.. close but no cigar. :)
No. I am staying with my Induro A213, I love that tripod, since I cannot afford a costly Gitzos.

Are you able to store this tripod in the bag with the handles on? I just got one yesterday and can't figure out how to keep it in the bag with the handles on the head.

Nope. That's why I just bought an Induro AP23 Ball Head. It's easier to use & fits in the case without removing one of the handles like before.

10 months & I still love this tripod. I'd did switch my order from the AP1 to the AP2 as suggested. Glad I did. Was only 10.00 more. Awesome tripod.

I use this with my Nikon D90 & 12-24 wide angle lens. Solid as a rock.
