I have always considered myself a landscape photographer.
Mainly because I am clueless about setting up a light off camera, and working on posing people.

I went to a photography meetup last weekend with the intent on working on just these things.

All of these images are shot with my 50D with a 24-105 and a 580EX in a softbox using Yongnuo 301P wireless triggers, and some in natural light.
So everything was set in manual.

1. ISO 1000 1/100 of a second, f/4 Natural Light

3. ISO 400 1/250s f/4 Flash in softbox

There is very little post processing here. A couple of blemish removals, a little vignetting, and some sharpening.

How am I doing outside of my comfort zone?

Love the 1st two natural light shots, her eyes and skin just sparkles there.
What was your softbox and how far away was it?

Thank you.

=]What was your softbox and how far away was it?

It's this Wescott Apollo (external link).
I had it set about four feet away from the models.
However, the one in the silver dress, the softbox was aobut six feet away.

Well I haven't seen your landscapes but I would have to say these subjects look much better than your stinkin trees. Nice job.
