Like to have tripod collar for my Canon EF 100mm f2.8 L macro lens. The original from Canon cost a fortune. Any aftermarket brands available?

Most of what I have heard about third party tripod ring mounts is bad. And the one I played with was way below acceptable quality. IMO you should really save up and buy the Canon one. You didnt go cheap on the macro lens you purchased, why go cheap on an accessory that needs to stably and securely hold it and your camera body?

Since that is a recent lens it may take awhile for after market rings to be avail. You may find a seller that lists diameters to cross reference to.

Roxsen makes decent knockoffs. I got one, off off Ebay for the 70-200 f4IS (why, I don't know).

Since I just got it and have barely used it I cannot vouch for its longevity.

No idea if they make one, yet, for the 100.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

As has been said, the collar is not available yet. B&H lists it, but says availability date is unknown.

Try used one (original Canon, but used one).
I got 100 macro not too long ago, then trying to get knock-off tripod collar, luckyly, someone selling it in the B&S section for under $100 (cant remember correctly, but I think around $80-ish).
Not showing up too often, but if you can wait, it might be a good choice for you.
Hope that helps.
