I found this site pretty interesting. I know it's very geeky, but for those pixel peepers it might be fun too. :D

Some good news and some bad news for us Canon shooters.

Go compare the 1Dmk3 vs the Nikon D90 and D5000 and tell me if you think that it is a valid test DB.....

That's why I don't trust them.
If you see EVERY Canon camera and its Nikon counterpart, there is no Canon camera worthy to buy.
I wonder how they justify we have most of market share being so much worse...

Photography is about GEAR and not talent or practice. Practice won't make you a better photographer. Expensive equipment will. =D

Lol, I think I better dump by 5D2 for that D90! It's got way better dynamic range ;)

Don't worry, Petra. It hasn't been discussed in a while, so it's easy to miss the older threads on them. Apparently, some people can't just keep their remarks to themselves and head to the next thread.

I don't think the sarcasm is aimed at Petra, I think it's the disdain that Canon shooters have towards that particular site. Everything Nikon beats everything Canon on that site, a conclusion not necessarily drawn by other reviewers. There are some truly ridiculous comparisons made there, which are not borne out by real-world results.

That's the point I was trying to make. I think the tests are done in a way that favors Nikon - as in looking only for a certain kind of noise and/or ignoring NR.

Uhm, sure, so what did my title have to do with anything?? Especially since you don't know why I have it. I did take offence anyway. So an excuse would be nice, regardless of your "intent".

Only 3fps, in that case there must be something awful rattling around in mine when it shoots high speed then

I don't think I mentioned your title, but I apologize if my words offended you. I really was saying you should go look at the 1Dmk3 vs D5000 test because something is definitely off there.

Yep! Mine should be defective too! I'm getting 8FPS!
I'm going back to the store tomorrow morning and get an 3FPS working unit! :p
