Yep. It's made with a metalish (If thats a word) fabrick that blocks the noise. It works great.

Here's Mark with a demo.

This demo seems to be a better example of the two PW's actually working from a distance.

Somebody let me know when they make Canon-compatible FlexTT5 and MiniTT1 models that don't require a stupid sock to be put over the flash. It's insane that they haven't announced a redesign of the actual product.

Yes, insane. I'm sure they haven't thought of as many options as they can, good point.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Unm.. Couldn't you return them anyways? As long as your dealer has a normal return policy I don't see this being that special. Am I missing something here?

Dealers usually have a 15 day return policy with a 15% restocking fee and they usually have a list of items that they will NOT take back.

So if this is an item they can take back this guaruntee gives you another 15 days and saves you $30 in restocking fees regardless of the dealers policy.

Here we go again..lol

Why should they? It's not PW fault. It is Canon's fault for making a noisy speedlites (Canon 580EX, 580EXII). The sock is the solution by PW, Canon could careless.

yes here we are again. and there are people with a different point of view out there. they see that many brands like skyports or radiopoppers work perfectly with canon flashes - but only the pw products have problems. so don't tell us, it's canon's fault.
(I also don't want to continue on that...there are just 2 different opinions about that)

ROFL. If it's not the flash, then how does the sock fix the problem? It only covers the flash.

Look. I don't care about the sock. I shoot with both Nikon and Canon gear. Nikon has always had a better flash. However, the PW system with Canon's 580EXII is the closest thing I have seen to a Nikon setup. The 580EXII seems to be way more efficient using the Control TL Pocket wizard technology. To me, that's worth it. Their use of HSS and rear curtain shutter makes things so easy.

I know I shouldn't do this but....

The Flex and Mini were specifically designed for Canon flashes. They should work out of the box. You can't tell me that PW didn't have trouble making their Canon specific product work with Canon's flagship flash.

This argument is getting old. Both sides need to let it go, agree to disagree and go make some pictures.

I guess this is the purpose of this "satisfaction guarantee".

Radio popper PX seems like an alternative using different technology. I'm still torn between which system to buy. RP seems like a great solution. Thing is the poppers requires either an ST-e2 or flash on camera unlike the PW throwing on a mini/flex with a choice of flash.

I was torn between the Radio Popper PX & PW's. I chose PW's because they didn't require anything else for a trigger, compatibility with strobes with embedded Pocket Wizards even if it is only basic triggering, a couple of more features (second curtain sync,) and the upcoming Zone Controller product. Plus the PX system is more expensive.
