This was over two years ago... I think I was using a 20D with a tamron 28-75 and an 85mm F1.8 and that was about it.

i want to get an 50mm 1.8 or 1.4 but i am not sure which to go with... and i need to rraise some money some how....i think of belly dancing :)

yeah, what was your lighting set-up on #2 and #3? And how did you get those ones around the trees to look like you didn't use a flash at all?

Seriously, though, I don't think I've ever been so reassured and inspired to keep working at it as I am right now. As it turns out, everybody did start somewhere.

Awesome! really I'm glad you feel this way!! because looking back on this, it is pretty bad, and I stuck with it, and seem to be doing "OK" with it.

#2 & #3 I actually used a the tree to conveniently block the light from the main subjects. I could have used flash to compensate, but I liked the under-exposed look of them. LOL It really helps emphasize that I had no idea what I was doing!
