So, I needed some winter gloves for shooting outside this Saturday. I saw the Under Armour UA Extreme gloves here (external link)and were $35 online. I was initially going to get the Fleece version for $30 online.

I went to my local Dicks store and saw that the UA Extreme gloves were selling for $20. They had partial fleece and partial rubber. You could tell that these gloves were quite a bit better than the fleece ones. For $20, it's a steal.

I brought them home and gripped by camera and they were absolutely excellent. I'll be trying them out this Saturday.

Just figured I'd post this here in case anybody is in store for some new gloves as this sale is a steal!

Good stuff, I use a pair of older Sugoi thermal knit gloves which have sticky bits on the fingers which work well. Should replace them sooner or later though :)

I live in California so I don't know much about Winter (I don't head to the mountains during ski season since I don't see and the only time I saw real snow was when I was in Germany and I was two years old).

That said, I like these gloves for whenever I need actual tactile feel in my hands:

The Hatch Elite Marksman are pretty good if you want to be able to feel something like the shutter button (or a gun trigger) while still protecting your hands.

I found a pair of these Simms flyfishing gloves (external link) that are perfect for me. The palms are thin but windproof for good tactile feel while keeping the cold out. Not the best for extreme cold but they work for me when taking snow shots for up to a couple hours at a time.

There are some that have finger covers at that site for more extreme weather.

edit: more here (external link)
