I was looking at youtube, trying to get some new ideas and came across this video...

I am wondering what type of photography this is... I was searching how to paint with light. These shots that this guy pulls of in his videos are outstanding. Was hoping to find some, "How to" stuff on the post processing... Any ideas?

Post processing was likely just done with layers and masking in photoshop. Fairly simple, but it looks like he is an expert at it.

Got software now? Which?
You should get comfortable with layers & Masks. Look at the the links in post #9 of: Tough Exposure question

You'll probably have questions, so I'm moving this to "RAW & PP".

Yep.

Similar to this (external link): You just pick the part you want from each image.

If you want to paint with light, you'd open the shutter, and light every part of the scene you want lit with a flash or a flashlight. Very different approach.
