I've (we've) been using CS3 for a couple years, and my daughter wants to buy a student (college) CS4. Her price is of course very nice, but my question is: Does the student CS4 full contain everything as the retail one? Price is nice, but I want everything (and some more) that is contained in my CS3.
Thanks

Yes.
You can call them to confirm which is what I did when I purchased a student copy.

Yes, it's fully functional and no features are missing. Pretty sure it's in their FAQ somewhere if you have a search around.

There is no such thing as a student version of cs4, only student pricing of normal CS4

I think the only difference is the licence. For example, Adobe would frown on the use of a student-licensed product for commercial purposes.

It seems that depends on where you live. In the UK, commercial use is prohibited but in the US, it's not. If they can legally prevent it in a country then the seem to though.

I remember reading some student licenses that said "you have to delete your copy once you graduate."

Well, our computer has my name listed as the owner / administrator.
Will that interfere with my daughter's student CS4 copy being activated by Adobe?

No, the only time anyone will be asked for anything relating to being a student is when you purchase the program. Once you purchase, it's yours to use (but not resell)

I currently have 3 children and 2 sons-in-law in college, undergrad and grad students. As a family, we have been enjoying the benefits of student software for years. Never a problem.

Not adobe ....

It does in the UK. You have to be a student to use it here, once you graduate, you must stop using it or upgrade to a retail version.

Well, OP listed NC as his location, so we aren't talking/caring about what they do in the uk ;)

Hi,
Are you sure? My son got a copy while at university but we didn't see this in the licence agreement.
