She was in their care from 1 month old until we adopted her just a few days after her 4th month. She was found in a box with 2 or 3 other litter mates on the side of a freeway. I've had dogs my entire life and she's my girlfriend and I's first dog in our adulthood, and I wouldn't give her up for anything! I believe she may have some Carolina Dog (American Dingo) rollin' around somewhere, but not sure what she might be composed of. The sweetest and toughest dog I've ever had, and loves water more than any of the 6 labradors I had growing up. A huge thanks and appreciation for all posters in this thread, and to anybody else who intends to or has previously rescued animals. Firing with frugality!

WTP07 Member  159 posts Likes: 2 Joined Jan 2014 Location: SW Ontario - 43.143986N, 81.781851W More info | This is our rescue, "Jewlz".  She was advertised on a local website as a puppy mill rescue. She had already had a litter and wasn't quite a year old. Oddly the people that "rescued" her had NO clue about dogs, and had her in an apartment that was about 300 sq ft. No dog food, just feeding her whatever they ate. That was a hard habit to break! She is a true hunter. Loves to go mousing in the fields behind the house. Nose down, tail up, forget about getting her attention back, she's gone! Fetch is a fave too, but the shep usually turns that into "tug of war" instead of fetch.  She is our first beagle and 2nd rescue. Preferred Weapons:
