Looks like the Peugeot emblem to me. Even though I live in America, I have seen a few Peugeots in my time (took a trip to England/Ireland over the summer). They look a little funny, but have the coolest name of any foreign car company ;).

The Peugeot emblem was the first thing I thought of. They used to be fairly common in the States, at least on the west coast they were. My dad had a 505 turbo deisel which was probably the least weird looking Peugeot. It was pretty nice to drive, but I wouldn't want to own one.
