Never would have guessed it, though as soon as Alby guessed I knew what it was.

I loved developing, though I've always used the plastic reels. Dang, I'm going to have to find my old film camera now. Thanks alot!

I would bet your clue was way off and that less than 5% of the folk here have used one. I was clueless, though what's new.

I spent many an hour in my cupboard under a blanket trying to wind on a film.... God I miss that NOT!!!!!

You've never lived then, there was nothing better then loading up a film developing it and finding out half of the coil hadn't loaded correctly and was touching causing it to not develop right.:lol::lol: I don't miss it at all really ;)

Did you try the Ballbearing fed type, it was much easier. I changed over after about 3 years of the manual type.

Aaaahhhh, now I see it. See, in my photography class in high school we used the plastic ones, but I remember seeing a few of the metal variety. Oh well.

sorry i couldnt post the actual image, ive been gone all day, still am!

i used plastic and metal, but the metal container lids stay on much better while agitating the mixture.. the plastic lids came loose, wich puts the film at risk of receiving light accidentally..

and for those who have never loaded film, you arent missing anything, its a pain in the ass, and if you mess a roll up, there is nothing u can do to fix it except retaking the shot

Oh man, thats half the fun. Its not that bad - for me it was the easiest part.

And the pleasure of having a perfect negative from all that hard work.
