SkWeEkiE is the closest with an antique that gets hung on a wall

Not sure if it's an actual antique, but it's old-fashioned looking ;)

Hint: it is used to measure something. Not time (so no watch) and not position (so no compass). Both of these have been mentioned already.

Oh, and BTW, it's not a pressure safety valve, a door knocker or shackles ;)

Here's one from the weekend, might be a bit of a give away but thought it would work in this thread

frame, with respect, it is actually Paul007 who is to post the next macro for guessing, as his was the correct answer. If he has nothing and offers it up for someone to post, or does not respond after a reasonable amount of time for sleeping/working, then someone can take it.

Lecture over. ;)
Anyhow, welcome to this thread, always great to get new perspectives. I would keep your image up for guessing until/unless Paul comes back with one to post. This is not a first for this thread and we are actually a fairly flexible bunch .

I'm quite sure I know what it is, but will withhold a guess as I have to take off for a few hours anyway. It is not actually a macro, right? :D

I'd say the dash or the backseat of a car. You can even see a sticker on the windshield/window.
