Is the fluid water ? It seems to me that whatever it is, it must have been applied by a mister or natural mist action. I don't see any drips.

Are we looking through one surface to another or is all the color on the same surface ? The white swirling part kind of looks of like smoke or infected, jaundiced skin.

The fluid is likely water that came from what the coloured stuff once was
