Sorry, but I'll have to leave the computer for tonight...

I'll be back with the solution (or some larger pics if you haven't made a correct guess until then...) in about 9 hrs....

Good night!

Ha, looked like a round hole in sumptin to me, but what do I know.

One fair guess. It is computer style black plastic with a tiny hole in it. While the part looks tapered in two dimensions it also looks like part of a larger unit. Difficult to say if the hole is functional, yet most likely it is in a way, if so some speaker or mike deal.

Maybe it is a hole for a lanyard ring.

The eye socket of a plastic fish, perhaps?

Both my Dells have locking rings. So you can lock it up and nobody can steal anything from the inside. Theres no screws holding the case closed. Theres just a big button you push and the case plits on a hinge.

Laughing my fool head off. Just looked at the back of all our computers, and lo and behold, a place to lock each one up. I don't know how many times I have been inside, cleaning or installing components and never notice until now. Just goes to show that you are never too old to learn............:D

The virtual prize goes to Mike and 3turner. Excellent guesses! I think it's 3turner who is up now, as his guess was closest :D

It's a Logitech Wingman Extreme trigger....

All right...here is my first picture. Sorry if it is too soft, but I think it may be easy for a historian or enthusiast. The reflection in the black is the environment you would find this at. This is not a house hold item.

Best I could do on short notice. I am on the way to work and will attempt to monitor from there.
