looks kinda like a planer blade, but i don't think it would shatter.

is it like some expensive antique mirror??

Photoblitz is closest, but not quite.

No, it's not a mirror, though a very small part of it (not pictured) is very shiny after I spend some time with it...

And I should probably add that if it were to shatter (and I were to weep about it), it wouldn't shatter into thousands of tiny pieces, more like a couple of pieces.

A fiber-optic cable? It would shatter, and you have to polish those things for HOURS!

That would be one weird fiber-optic cable though...

No, not a fibre optic cable. It's not that recent, it's probably around 90 years old...

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Not a drill, but it is hand operated. Well, hand held and body operated, if you want to get into technique...

Last post for the night. I'll try to check the thread tomorrow morning, but it might be early afternoon before I can get back to the forum.

Not a jackhammer, or a sewing machine, nor a bowl gouge (even though I keep my bowl gouges close by...)

Here's a slightly larger pic...
