I know! The thing of it is, it was on one of those facny schmantzy surge protectors, and now it won't boot! I think I just fried my gfx card, which sucks because I'm also a big gamer. Hopefully I can get some compensation because I was on the surge-protector, but those things take forever. Ugh...

Does the power supply fan turn on? I had a power supply die in a computer once. It's easy to replace and not very expensive.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Actually, I just figured out it's my monitor that got fried. Hopefully just the DVI got fried and the VGA still works, but it sucks majorly. the thing is only a few weeks old and now it can't get a DVI signal. Hopefully it works in the morning wehen I get access to a VGA cable. In the meantime... pray ;)

So could you take it back to the store/RMA it and say, "umm hey, it doesn't work, send me a new one you damn commies"

Or something like that.

You could probably ommit the damn commies part.

You'e a gamer and part of your computer is older than a few weeks?

I bought it at Fry's, but the closest one is an hour and a half from my dorm (and I don't have a car)! What's worse, the 30 day return policy ends tomorrow. I think I can get it back to my parents to exchange, but it'll be close.

Anyways, does anyone else have a SMGG to submit? I'm getting withdrawl symptoms!

Very good - electrical signals are involved but you need to be more precise with the ID.
