I've been waiting to get one of these. I just got some new tubes a couple weeks ago and have a good one for this. It's at home and I'm at work, though. I'll have it posted in three or four hours...

LOL. Yes, it's toilet paper or bog roll for those in the UK... please tell me you all use it!!!!

I actually saw something about this on a trivia site recently (within the past couple months). Surprisingly, the percentage of people worldwide who use it is very small. About 10-15% if I remember correctly. The site listed several other items people use instead. I just tried to find where I had seen this, but I'm not having any luck. I thought it was on the web site of one of two trivia podcasts I listen to, but I don't see it there now.

Yeah, I thought that number sounded suspiciously low, too.

I'm sure 3rd world countries make up a lot of the difference, but what I remember was a list of alternatives, like various leaves, corn cobs, bidets, and things like that. I sure wish I could remember where I saw this. I've looked everywhere this morning and just can't find it. Google and AskJeeves aren't being any help, either.

Anyway, here's my macro. I hope I'm not duplicating one already done since I'm new here, but I'm not going back through 7,000+ posts to check. :D

I cropped and recropped that image so many times, and it always looked so blaringly obvious to me what it was. Finally, I realized it was because -- "You already know what it is, idiot!"...

Anyway, I'm off to bed now. So, I'll give a clue or two. I had 68mm of extension tubes on my 50mm macro lens. You're looking at a pretty miniscule part of that... thingy. :D

(Surprise, surprise, surprise!)
